Godliness With Pure HeartSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: God expects love in your life. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. The Lord wishes to give His love as a gift to you and remove all your problems. The Lord is Holy, and He desires that you and I should also be holy with a good conscience and a pure heart. "Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma" (Ephesians 5:1-3).
"Let the word of God dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." (Colossians 3:16)
Do not take the word of God for granted. Get up early in the morning and read at least one chapter from the Bible and then start your day. Tell all your matters - family and personal problems in the presence of the Lord and then start your work. Oh! What a peace you get when you do so! The Lord will be with you for that whole day. Because we see, "In the beginning was the word and the word was with God." When you read this Word, the Lord will come down in the Word. The greater you exalt Him and early you seek Him in the morning, the greater His presence will be with you.
Do you know that God expects love in your life? If you read 1 Corinthians chapter 13, it is written, "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." Today, we see homes shattered due to doubts and quarrels in family. The reason is life devoid of love and lust of the eyes. Lust of the eyes comes when you do not have control on your own heart.
Proverbs 4:23 says, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it springs the issues of life." If you want this issue of life to spring forth from the depth of your heart, you have to keep your heart holy. Job said, "I have made a covenant with my eyes; Why then should I look upon a young woman?" (Job 31:1). Lust is a sin. Can you say what Job said today?
The Lord says, "I will fill you with My love; you cannot change yourself. Your heart is hardened. But when I fill your heart with My love, you can live a life of blessing."
"The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit." (Romans 5:5)
Dear friend, this is the life of godliness with pure heart and good conscience. Are you an example before others? Say in your heart, "I will stand for the Lord, whatever struggles, trials and problems might come. Jesus is enough for me at all times." He will be with you.
Do you have avenging thoughts? Do you have bitterness in your heart? They are all not pleasing to the Lord. My dear friend, is there any rift in your family, in your office or in your church because of you? Examine your life and heart today! Is your life pleasing to the God Almighty? What is the state of your heart? Is it without blemish? Is your life a pure and holy? Examine yourself and see if you have a life adorned with good work and godliness with a content heart. Seek Him with a pure heart and genuine godliness. The Lord will give His love as a gift to you. He will change all your shortcomings and remove all the problems that arise in your life. The Lord of lords will surely grant you grace to experience the blessings of the unshakeable kingdom of God on this earth.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
Grant me godliness in my life. Give me a heart that would always seek to worship You, a life that would always keep glorifying Your name, and a mind to do Your will at all times. Having become righteous by the blood of Jesus Christ, I pray, Father, keep me holy. Help me to overcome all my shortcomings and grant me a purposeful life. In Jesus' name, I pray.
Amen. |
