Perfect TransformationSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: The Lord desires to transform your life and use you in a supernatural manner to spread His love. Let not your heart be troubled. Commit your life wholly into His hand and He will bless you. During my M.B.A. classes, in the evening after the lecture sessions, students would sit together and chat jovially. But I would leave them and go, not to my home, but to the Jesus Calls office; And I would do for Jesus whatever I could. I would write letters or paste addresses on the magazines to be despatched; and I rejoiced in doing those odd jobs. The Lord began to bless me in whatever I did. Today, He has blessed me to perfection, both in my spiritual life as well as my academic education. I received my Doctorate when I was just 26 years old. God has given me the honour to enter any distinguished academic community anywhere in the world boldly, and I am received with due recognition and honour.
Moreover, God blessed my family life as well. I did not choose my partner in life. My eyes looked up to Jesus alone. I said that He knew all my needs. At the right time God gave me a beloved wife. Now He has also given us three lovely children. I have given pre-eminence to Jesus in my life. The Holy Spirit is my friend.That is why Jesus honoured me now.
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Then God will honour you in your family, in your secular avocations and also in your spiritual life.
Once Jesus took Peter, James and John his brother to the mountain-top where He could be alone. There He was transfigured before them. Peter's eyes were then opened. He saw the vision and he had an exalted heavenly experience. He was much enthralled (Matthew 17:1-5). But on their coming down from the Mount of Transfiguration, a deomon-possessed person was brought to the disciples. And they could not cure him (Matthew 17:16). If only God's power had been within him, Peter would have driven out the devil. But as he did not have God's power within him, he could not resist the devil. Finally, Jesus Himself rebuked the demon and the demon came out of him.
On another occasion, when Peter and the other disciples were sailing in a boat, tossed by furious waves and blown by contrary winds, Jesus went to them walking on the sea. Peter said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water" (Matthew 14:28). Jesus told him, "Come." Immediately Peter jumped out of the boat and defying the laws of nature, walked on the sea to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" (Matthew 14:30).
On both these occassions, though he was with Jesus, Peter did not have the power of God within him. He could not drive out a demon or perform a miracle or even be a part of a miracle.
Even today, we see miserable cries of many people who suffer because of weak servants of God who claim, "I have dreams and visions; I prophesy"; But when poor innocent people approach them for prayers, they say, "Someone has pracitised sorcery on you. You are a victim of witchcraft." Beyond saying that, they have no power - neither to resist the devil nor to release those victims from the bonds of sorcery and witchcraft.
We see in the Bible, various gifts of power: the gift of faith, the gift of healing, the gift of performing miracles (1 Corinthians 12:8-10). After the Lord Jesus ascended to heaven, as said in Acts 1:8, He poured His Holy Spirit upon His disciples. The spiritually weak Peter also was filled with the strength and the power of the Lord, and he stood forth as a witness to the Lord's glory. Only when he received the anointin,g his life was fully transformed.
I recall hundreds of miracles which the Lord has performed in the ministry of Jesus Calls. It is because of the anointing that the Lord has showered upon the Ministry and upon us. It is result of the Lord's power manifested through this Ministry. The Lord desires to transform your life in this manner and use you in a supernatural manner. He wants to give you His anointing and power. Commit your life wholly into His hands and seek the gifts eagerly.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
I am not satisfied with my past life with all my shortcomings. I have fallen several times and by Your grace, I have stood again. Father, strengthen me today. Grant me Your Holy Spirit and make me whole. I commit myself to do Your. Use me, Master. Grant me spiritual gifts and help me to manifest Your kingdom on earth. I place this prayer at Your feet, through Christ Jesus, my Lord and Saviour.
