Peace and Truth in the LordSpeaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran Gist: The God of peace be with you! The problems that you face may be great; but the Lord Jesus Christ will grant you freedom and victory. He gives His divine peace and leads you in truth. Jesus Christ cried, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Yet, the peace of God surged within Him even in that plight of suffering. That is why He could endure everything with patience. He is willing to give that same peace to you too.
"The chastisement for our peace was upon Him" (Isaiah 53:5).
For our sake the Lord will surely change all things that spoil the peace in the world around us.
"And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen." (Romans 16:20)
My dear friend, do not be worried or troubled. There is just one thing that you have to do. Even as the Lord Jesus amidst the sufferings cried out to His Father, you should also let God know all your pains and sufferings in all your problems, however big they may be, and pray amidst praises to Him. Then according to His promise, "For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation" (Ephesians 2:14), the God of peace will be with us. Our spirit will then surely be filled with His peace. Let us shed all failures that stand between us and God so that His presence will surround us. The Lord will be in our midst. He will lift our chastisement and save us from the hands of our enemies.
You need not worry and say, "Alas, I am a victim of magic and sorcery." "The Lord will fight for you." (Exodus 14:14) "No weapon formed against you shall prosper." (Isaiah 53:17)
All harassment due to debt will turn into blessings, when you seek God (Malachi 3:10). Seek the Lord first, even your sorrows and sufferings will bring you blessings following them (Matthew 6:33). By God's grace even problems high as the hill will vanish without a trace. The power of the Lord will do this. The problems may be great, but the Lord Jesus Christ will grant you freedom and victory. The Lord will grant you peace. He will teach the truth and change all for good.
"Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution." (2 Timothy 3:12)
My dear friend, the Lord Jesus Christ in His loneliness cried from the cross that day, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Today, when those who have to cry and seek Him, He saves them from crying with bitterness. He grants them His divine peace and leading them in ways of truth. When we read the Bible, as we meditate upon His sufferings on the cross and His resurrection, let us remember every moment the blessings we receive through His cross and praise Him. Compared to His sufferings ours is just nothing. Let us cling on to the feet of the Lord, follow His example and fill our lives with the sublime blessings that He has in store for us, His children. Let us live a devout life and inherit eternal life in the end on our journey in this world, at the feet of our Lord Jesus. May the blessing of the Lord Jesus who cried for us from the cross abound in your life and fill you with peace and joy!
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
When I am unable to bear the pain and suffering in my life, fill me with Your strength and spirit. Help me to lead a devout and pleasing life that is pleasing in Your sight. Fill my life with Your love and peace and make my life joyful. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.
Amen. |
